Sketchup mac os1/9/2024 On January 9, 2007, Google announced Google SketchUp 6, a free downloadable version of SketchUp, including integrated tools for uploading content to Google Earth and to the Google 3D Warehouse. Google acquired Software on March 14, 2006, attracted by Software's work developing a plugin for Google Earth. This C-130 Hercules model was made in SketchUp and rendered with Kerkythea. Google Lund + Slaatto project designed in SketchUp Many different 3D and 2D exporters are available in SketchUp for uses such as rendering. The first macOS release of SketchUp won a "Best of Show" at Macworld in 2002. The program won a Community Choice Award at its first tradeshow in 2000. SketchUp was created in August 2000 as a 3D content creation tool and was envisioned as a software program for design professionals. SketchUp was developed by startup company Software of Boulder, Colorado, co-founded in 1999 by Brad Schell and Joe Esch. The program includes drawing layout functionality, surface rendering in different "styles", and enables placement of its models within Google Earth. Owned by Trimble Inc., the program is currently available as a web-based application, SketchUp Free, and three paid subscriptions, SketchUp Shop, SketchUp Pro, and SketchUp Studio, each with increasing functionality. SketchUp is a suite of subscription products that include SketchUp Pro Desktop, a 3D modeling computer-aided design (CAD) program for a broad range of drawing and design applications - including architectural, interior design, industrial and product design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, theater, film and video game development. SketchUp provides a refreshingly simple approach to 3D graphic design and modeling and is ideal for non experts in CAD technology.MacOS 11+ (Big Sur) and macOS 10.15+ (Catalina) Įnglish, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) Being free, it also obviously lacks some of the advanced features of many of its heavyweight rivals. This is most apparent when trying to create domed surfaces, as the Push/Pull tool is particularly cumbersome, although pushing and pulling straight lines is considerably easier. There are some problems with SketchUp however. You receive a snapshot when you add a geo-location to your model which includes 3D terrain data plus color aerial imagery. Alternatively, you can geo-tag them in one-step using Google Maps, as this is integrated with Sketchup. You can send images of your 3D designs via email or upload them for free storage at Google's 3D Web Warehouse. The real fun however is when you export your SketchUp drawings into Google Earth. The Shadow Settings palette is also worth keeping to hand, as it allows you to apply realistic shadows via simple sliders. Of particular note is the 'Materials' palette, which contains over 100 different preset swatches, such as vegetation, metal and glass. Other options can be accessed via the menu system, or you can choose to place extra palettes on the workspace to save wading through menus. Instructor hints pop out on the right of the screen when it thinks you need them. SketchUp doesn't lack in functionality despite its ease of use, and includes all the usual collection of drawing and filling tools you'd expect, neatly accessible in the toolbar across the top of the screen.

Audio rca connector1/8/2024 The RCA cable has enjoyed an 80 year-long run. Some technologies have run their course and need to be replaced. And in high-end audio, an increasing number of people are moving to the superior XLR cable too. In "pro" applications we use the XLR balanced connector which not only solves the RCA's shortcomings but adds another layer of improvement in its balanced configuration. And, shielding? It's not good on an RCA as one of the two conductors is attempting to also act as a shield. When inserting the connector into its female counterpart, its extended hot tip makes contact before the ground and we hear a "blaaat" if we change cables with a live amp. But just because something's used a lot doesn't mean it's the best choice. They are by far the most used connection scheme today. RCA cables can work in our high-end stereo systems. Before you knew it, the RCA cable was everywhere. In the 1950s, as radio morphed into consumer audio equipment, RCA cables began to replace the quarter-inch jack, the standard for external interconnection of audio products. Back then consumers had never seen an RCA cable unless they dug deep into the radio's internals. I cannot imagine any reader of this blog that hasn't heard of the RCA connector.ĭesigned in the 1940s by the Radio Corporation of America, its first use was to connect the internal components of console and tabletop radios manufactured by RCA.

Filipino pride pins1/8/2024 “One of the biggest Filipino populations is in Hawaii, ” Ochiai says, “and a lot of them have moved to Las Vegas as well.” This year’s headliners include Rebel Souljahz, a groundbreaking Filipino reggae group from Hawaii. “Nowadays, kids are sophisticated, so we try to bring in the top acts,” she says. Music and dance were a big part of previous years’ celebrations, and that trend continues this year with a slate of entertainers that, Ochiai says, includes some of “the hottest Filipino artists from the Philippines.” “It’s to educate everyone about our food and our culture.” “Our goal, of course, is to feature culture, performances and dance from different regions of the Philippines,” she says. She estimates that people who aren’t of Filipino descent have made up about 80 percent of crowds in previous years, and says last year’s event drew about 12,000 attendees. For more information, visit Ochiai says this year’s event is the fourth annual Pinoy Pride Celebration. Guests also have the option of buying VIP tickets for Saturday’s “One Magical Night” show for $99 for seats in the first three rows and $75 for reserved seats. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children, military and seniors on Friday $15 for adults, $12 for military and seniors, and $8 for children on Saturday and free for everybody on Sunday in celebration of Easter. Third St., also will offer the music, dance, food and culture of the Philippines to anybody who stops by. Of course, the Pinoy Pride Celebration, which runs from Friday through Sunday at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, 200 S. Now I have kids, and I have kids who have never been to the Philippines.” “I’m a second-generation immigrant,” she says. That’s important, says Liza Ochiai, an organizer of the festival, because a goal of the annual celebration is to unite different generations of Filipinos and teach them about our culture. This weekend’s Pinoy Pride Celebration offer a taste of the Philippines to Southern Nevadans who aren’t of Filipino descent and who never have visited there.īut it will also offer younger Southern Nevadans who are of Filipino descent the chance to learn about a place they’ve never been to, either. The festival highlights the history, traditions, food and music of the Philippines. Courtesy Hula dancers demonstrate their art at the Pinoy Pride Celebration, which this year runs from Friday through Sunday at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

Free for apple download VisualDiffer1/7/2024 So you could either say I want to use all the ones being moved in when there is a conflict or all of the existing ones when there is a conflict. It just looks at them as files that are originally in the folder and files that are the ones moved in. Using Apply To All doesn't really care which one is newer and which one is older. So you either have to look in each and every match and determine yourself which one to Replace, which one to Skip which is going to be difficult and it's going to be easy to make mistakes. I won't tell you which is newer and which is older when you select several files. Or if I drag this one here it's going to say an older item exists. Notice, on the other hand, if I select one file here, like this one, and I drag it, it's going to actually say a newer item already exists. You have to go through each file meticulously and know which one is the newer version. The problem with doing this is that it is hard to just have the newer versions survive during this type of merge. Notice also when I copy instead of the word Copy appearing here, ironically, I get a number instead. So now when I do it it seems to be doing the same thing but instead of files being moved out of Folder B, Folder B is going to remain untouched. That gives me that little green Plus indicator there saying it's going to make a Copy of everything. Now an alternative is instead of just dragging and dropping into Folder A I hold the Option Key down. If I use Keep Both it means for every document that has the same name the one that's being moved would move there but with a new name, the word Copy being after the original name. If I selected Replace then it would replace all documents that have the same name with the ones I'm moving. Only new documents would be copied in there. So, for instance, if I hold the Option Key down and go Skip then it would keep all of the existing documents of the same name in that folder. If I check this that means whatever I select here for everything else that's going to be copied it's just going to apply that. The version that's sitting there in the folder would stay. So in this case it would be the opposite of Replace. If I hold the Option Key down, notice Keep Both changes to Skip. Or I can Replace which means that the one I'm moving replaces the one that was originally in the folder. I could Stop which cancels all future actions. The options I have are to keep both which would take the one I'm moving and apply the word Copy to it. In this case it's going to tell me that Document 1 already exists. Then we're going to get a hit with this dialogue here. Simply drag them to Folder A and drop them in. I'm going to use Shift Click to select the range. Now one pretty straight forward way to do this is to select all of the files in Folder B. I should get Document 1, which is the same between both, then the newer version of Document 2, the newer version of Document 3, and then both documents 4 & 5 in the final folder. So the idea is I want to merge these two. Folder B has a Document 5 that's not in Folder A. Folder A has a Document 4 that's not in Folder B. There's an older version here and in Folder B there's the newer version. You could see the older version is here in Folder B. Document 2 in Folder A is a newer version. They both have identical Document 1's and you could see here, I have the Preview Pane turned on so you can see what's inside. Here I've got inside of one folder two folders. So I'm going to use List View to demonstrate what's going on. Join us and get exclusive content and course discounts. There you can read more about the Patreon Campaign. Maneater truth quest1/7/2024 Seeing the new weapons of war for the first time is a thrill, especially facing off against helicopters – leaping into the air to chew on one of those metal dragonflies is just delightful. Speaking of dimwitted AI, the humans and sea creatures that are usually pushovers up their game slightly in Truth Quest, now coming after you with helicopters, massive warships, and freaky new radiation powers that can seriously mess you up. Or they do, but they throw them so incompetently that you’ve gotta flail around desperately trying to grab one before they explode, probably taking more damage in the process than you would have if you’d have just gnawed on whatever it is you’re trying to blow up. The only issue is that you can’t use the Whipshot unless you’ve got AI enemies throwing explosives at you, and sometimes they don’t when you really need them to. You can use this to satisfyingly destroy structures or helicopters that would otherwise be out of your reach, or to do serious damage to high level enemies. While the Whipshot wasn’t required a whole lot to get through the original campaign, it’s absolutely necessary in Truth Quest as some enemies can only be hit from a distance. One thing that does manage to stand out is how much Truth Quest makes use of Maneater’s Whipshot attack, which lets you grab grenades, torpedoes, or other explosive projectiles thrown at you, and tail-thwack them back at your enemies. The new laser attack is so overpowered there's little reason to use anything else. None of these are real game changers aside from the organ mod that lets you heal over time, but at the very least they give you some carrots on a stick to grind toward as you work your way through the new region and hunt a mysterious new predator. Watching helicopters get knocked out of the sky and people explode as you melt their faces with it never really gets old, but its mere existence also undermines a lot of the other combat choices you could be making.Īlongside the new body mod there are five new organ evolution mods, an added organ slot, and an increased max level of 40 (raised from 30 in the base campaign). This new ability is cool, but it’s also so overpowered that there’s little reason to use anything else, as you’re able to blast apart even the toughest enemies with relative ease. There’s a fantastic new evolution set that turns you into an irradiated demon of the sea with the ability to shoot lasers out of your mouth like Godzilla. However, that’s not to say that there is nothing new in Truth Quest. But if you’re wondering whether its shallow combat and simplistic upgrades can sustain that excitement for the roughly 15 hours it takes to become a hulking megashark and reach the end of its uninspired satirical revenge story… it cannot." -Dan Stapleton, Score: 7 "It’s absolutely fun to play as mutant Jaws on steroids! Maneater chews the metaphorical scenery as often as it has you devouring humans and the diverse aquatic inhabitants of the Gulf of Mexico, and that’s some good dumb entertainment – for a while. As over-the-top premises go, seeing Westhaven go from eccentric documentarian to babbling conspiratorial psychopath is entertaining and well written, even if a lot of the things you’re doing along the way feel extremely similar to when he was sane. What you’re actually after isn’t very well explained, but the story ultimately unfolds into a by the numbers hunt for a creature called the Atomic Leviathan. Having finished his documentary about a bull shark and Scaly Pete, Maneater’s narrator has naturally now gone full conspiracy theorist, sending you on a quest to uncover the truth that the Illuminati satanic lizard people are hiding. These activities are just as fun as they were in the base campaign, but unfortunately they’re just as monotonous too. You’ll still get to hear hilarious narrator Trip Westhaven (once again voiced by Archer’s Chris Parnell) say outlandish stuff while you explore a new area of Port Clovis, and it’s still exciting to kill-or-be-killed by bounty hunters who bear down armies upon you in an effort to taste your delicious shark meat. This expansion mostly offers more of what you’ve already seen, sending you on familiar missions to eat hapless humans, destroy boats, or kill fellow sea dwellers. The nonsensical delight of Maneater's shark-RPG premise made for an amusing if somewhat repetitive campaign last year, but the recycled ideas of its new Truth Quest DLC don’t do much to stop that novelty from wearing thin.

It offers a good level of customization, but is simple enough at heart that first-timers can learn to use it without too much difficulty. XSplit Broadcaster is a useful, versatile and affordable streaming and video production product that works well with the other services streamers typically use. And, of course, having a piece of software running at the same time as your game can sometimes have a minor impact on game performance, although this will vary from device to device. It's also worth checking whether XSplit works well with your capture card: unsupported capture cards can lead to lowered frame rates when recording. Social media updates aren't perfect, and it might be worthwhile to check whether your stream's social media alerts have all gone out. This software is versatile and powerful, but it does have one or two drawbacks. For instance, if you were creating a video game stream, you might assign one scene to the feed from the game itself, another to a camera showing the players and a third to saved video of earlier matches. Robust, simple to use and free under a limited license, this is one of the most popular software packages for video game streamers. It can work together with other apps to add features such as Twitch alerts to broadcasts.
